2025 Foothill Athletic League Champions
(January 5 - March 5)
Basketball is a cut sport. This means all athletes may try out for the teams. Tryouts will be conducted with all three grade levels together. 6th grade athletes have the opportunity to be placed on the JV team only. 7th grade athletes have the opportunity to be placed on the JV or Varsity team. 8th grade athletes have the opportunity to be placed on the Varsity team only. The coaches will only select 10-15 players.

*All athletes must complete the sports signup information before participating in tryouts.

Basketball Athlete Information Meeting: Wednesday, December 3, after school in Rm 211
Tryouts Begin: Monday, January 5, 3:40 - 5:15pm in the Gym
Practices: Monday - Thursday 3:40 - 5:30pm in the Gym
Parents and Athletes Meeting: Wednesday, January 7, 5:00pm in Room 104 (park in the staff parking lot)
First Game: Tuesday, January 20, 5:00pm Away Game vs W.E. Mitchell MS
DRV Shootout (8th Grade Basketball Tournament): Saturday and Sunday, January 24 and 25
Team Picture Day: Wednesday, February 4 (during practice)
Basketball Playoffs: Week of March 2

Due to the continued bus driver shortage, there will be no bus transportation to games and thus no transportation fees. Please consider donating to our sports programs. Payments and donations will be received at the Student Accounts Office or online. Transportation/Donation Form
Please print and complete all three forms linked below along with a copy of your DRIVER'S LICENSE and your insurance policy DECLARATIONS PAGE (not the insurance card) and submit all paperwork to your athlete's coach.
1. Field Trip Authorization Form: Girls Basketball (JV Team only: see your coach)
2. Parent Permission Letter for Early Release: Girls Basketball (JV Team only: see your coach)
3. Parent Driver Permission Form (must be completed)
4. Student Alternate Transportation Form (if driving additional athletes)
5. Copy of Driver's License
