Math Club

Math Club focuses on math enrichment and problem solving by participating in three national math contest programs: MathCounts, Math Olympiad, and the AMC8. The weekly practices utilize practice problems from MathCounts, Math Olympiads, and the AMC.  Students will practice independently, in pairs, and in small groups.  Sometimes lessons on topics are presented in order to help students conquer new types of problems.  We also play math games and do math activities. A Problem-of-the-Week is usually distributed for students who want an additional challenge over the course of the week. Math Club is limited to 50 students, so a lottery is held when more students than 50 are interested in participating; returning 8^th graders receive first priority.
